Upload your document(s) to our DocHorizon engine
The first step is to upload documents or images of documents to our platform. Usually this is done from a mobile app, email, FTP or web application. You can also do it in bulk.
The documents can be sent both cropped (without background) and uncropped (which means with background). If the documents are sent uncropped, our API automatically crops the documents.
Data extraction with OCR
When the documents or images are sent, they are automatically converted to TXT files. All text from the uploaded documents is extracted with the OCR technology, but not yet processed and structured.
Document classification with AI
Klippa’s machine learning algorithms were trained on an extensive data set of more than 1 million documents. So you can trust that any relevant documents will be classified automatically.
After a document is turned into structured data (JSON, CSV, XML, XLSX, UBL, PDF and more) using machine learning and AI, it is classified based on your predetermined rules.
In seconds, you will have accurately classified documents in your searchable digital archive.
After your desired data is extracted and the algorithms classify the documents, it is time for sorting.

How about Data Privacy and Security?
By default, Klippa does not store any customer data. Data is always processed under a data processing agreement (DPA) and all service from Klippa are compliant with GDPR.
All data transfer is done via secure SSL connections. Our servers are ISO certified and by default are located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Getting a custom server on a location of choice is possible in any location worldwide.
On a regular base, our security is tested via third party penetration testing to ensure state of the art security at all times.
