Comply with E-invoicing Regulations in Spain
Starting in 2025, public administrations and businesses must send and receive electronic invoices through FACe, the Spanish governmental portal. To simplify and facilitate bulk uploads, a Peppol Access Point can be used to transfer data to FACe. The new regulations include:

Invoice Archiving
According to the new regulations, from 2025 onwards, all businesses must archive all their invoice data for at least 6 years.
Transaction Reporting
All billing records must be sent to the Spanish Tax Administration (AEAT) electronically as a ZIP file. This ZIP file should include a Facturae invoice for each customer, an XML file with billing data, and a PDF of the invoice.
Invoice Formats
From 2025, all invoices in Spain, for B2G transactions will need to be sent in FacturaE format – an XML based invoice format. For B2B transactions, following formats can be used: UBL, CII (XML), EDIFACT, and FacturaE format.
