Klippa and Bizcuit Join Forces to Transform Embedded Financial Services Across Europe

Press Release | January, 2025
Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) software developer Klippa and Dutch fintech Bizcuit announce their strategic partnership. Effective January 2025, Bizcuit’s clients can now also have access to other Klippa services, such as premium invoice recognition and e-invoicing. Klippa’s advanced document automation capabilities will be made available through Bizcuit’s comprehensive suite of embedded services, allowing banks and financial software providers to offer their clients customized SME solutions. Bizcuit’s embedded services include AP- and AR-automation, invoicing, payments, and bank- and bookkeeping integrations, enabling a seamless information exchange between entrepreneurs, accountants, banks, PSPs, and financial software.

Access to latest financial technology

Access to the latest financial technology is crucial for smaller companies to adapt to the fast changing digital environment. The partnership’s goal is to eliminate manual data entry, streamline workflows, and address SME challenges tied to siloed systems and compliance requirements. Together, Klippa and Bizcuit aim to deliver innovative, integrated solutions that empower businesses to achieve optimal efficiency and meet the growing demands of financial digitalization across Europe, such as exchanging e-invoices via the Peppol network, the emerging standard for e-invoicing and e-procurement.

Embedded services for banks and SaaS providers

Bizcuit’s platform allows banks and software providers to embed services such as bank integrations, payments, document processing, and accounting system connectivity. With the addition of Klippa’s cutting-edge Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Intelligent Document Processing solutions (IDP) Bizcuit can now offer partners more advanced tools. Including, premium invoice recognition, offering 100% recognition accuracy, as well as the integration of a Peppol access point for e-invoicing.

Premium invoice recognition refers to advanced technology or services that enable highly accurate and efficient processing of invoices by automatically extracting and interpreting data from invoices in various formats (e.g., PDF, scanned images, or electronic documents).

E-invoicing involves the electronic sending of invoices through a secure and standardized platform. This includes the integration of a Peppol access point, which ensures seamless and compliant exchange of invoices. Starting January 2026, Peppol will be mandatory in Belgium, ensuring the secure and standardized exchange of electronic invoices between businesses and public entities. In the Netherlands, Peppol is mandatory for B2G invoicing (Business to Government). It is expected Peppol soon will become mandatory for all B2B invoicing in many European countries, including the Netherlands
